Surprise in the Willows

I heard a faint cheeping in the willow branches above my head. The last few yellow leaves were still hanging onto the willow's mostly bare branches, but the first buds of the coming season were already showing. And there, leaping from branch to branch, was a little bird with a red head. It was a Ruby-Crowned Santa Bird!
